Location: Durham Status: Contract Compensation: Submit Competitive Rate Education Level: Not Specified As a Technical Support Engineer you will provide support for diagnosing, reproducing, and fixing software and hardware issues. You will troubleshoot protocols running on client hardware to assist customers with problem isolation and resolution. In this role you will assist customers by providing a range of technical support that includes resolving warranty customer problems via the telephone, the web or Autosupport, researching customer issues in a timely manner and providing the customer with recommendations and action plans. Qualified candidates for this role will typically have Systems Administrator level skills in either UNIX, Linux and/or Windows. Qualified candidates typically also have a working knowledge of some of the following protocols and applications: Networking (including knowledge of Brocade and Cisco), TCP/IP, CIFS and NFS, the Windows and UNIX file sharing protocols and/or RAID 0 and 4. This position will be working 3rd shift (Friday through Sunday from 7:00pm to 8:00am EST).
