Program Manager
A Program Manager will manage a Program. They manage a project utilizing proprietary process for Project Management. They also manage supply and demand to ensure adequate resources are available and delivery commitments are met. They act as the primary interface for the business partners and the initiative. They manage timelines, status reports and statistics. Responsibilities and Functions: * Assessment of resources and skill set requirements * Focus on research projects and start up opportunities * Department point person for assigned areas of concentration * Creation of multiple types of agreements * Service Level Agreements, Research Contract, Funding Agreements and Statements of Work * Ability to drive projects from pipeline / intake process through deployment * Communicate with project teams on project progress and reporting of results * Track and drive progress to successful project completion * Review and selection of proposals through team discussion, allocation of funding * Communicate with internal project teams on execution and reporting/publication of results * Technical assessments of feasibility. Complete technical assessments on new project requests * Work closely with clinical pharmacists, case / care managers and physicians across the organization * Leads and provides expert technical leadership to highly visible, sensitive and multi faceted projects * Sets strategic direction of projects * Develops project plans which identify key issues, problems, approaches, performance metrics and resources required * Designs processes to address identified problems * Establishes team membership and negotiates time commitments and resource allocation * Designs processes to address identified problems * Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors * Provides guidance to team on performance and productivity issues Qualifications: * 10+ years of experience in the computer software industry and at least 3 in the health care industry * Demonstrated successful performance at Senior Project Manager-level and above * Technical, business process, scope presentations to outside organizations * Skills/Qualifications: Ability to manage 10+ projects at a given time * Ability to understand and make decisions on strategic opportunities and business direction * Ability to present technical information to clinical and other non technical personnel effectively * Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external personnel while working on joint projects * Ability to converse at the technology strategy level as well as at the detailed technical level * Management of multi-disciplinary projects and portfolios of work * Skills/Competencies: Customer Focus, Interpersonal Savvy, Managing and Measuring Work * Progressive experience in the technology and / or healthcare area * Project management experience * Experience in healthcare, consulting and Project or Program Management required * Ability to operate in a highly regulated governance driven environment * Demonstrated ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives * Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses * Effective leadership, project management, and consulting skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Effective interpersonal skills * Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment * Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health Administration, Computer Science or other related field * Program Management and Implementation of Information Systems experience strongly preferred * Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Information Systems. PMP Certification
