The Project Manager will be assigned to 1 project below: The objective of the FAST (Finance & Accounting System Transformation) project is to prepare TMCC for the anticipated accounting standards changes currently under review by the FASB (e.g. the Convergence Standards). These standards are expected to impact Revenue Recognition, Leases, Financial Instruments and Insurance. All of these areas are key to the financial statements of TMCC. The FAST solution involves system changes as well as accounting process changes to accommodate the anticipated standards. TMCC’s current systems which support the "Record to Report" processes for Accounting are not adequate to accommodate the proposed accounting changes. Minimum years of project management experience: 7 Minimum total spend of projects managed: 1MM Minimum number of resources managed: 20 Full formal project management experience over the entire project lifecycle including procuring vendor services, and managing vendor deliverables. Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in managing project scope, developing project schedules and budgets, managing risks, ensuring project quality, leading and facilitating meetings, developing and implementing communication plans, managing third party vendors, and managing human resources. Strong technical skills related specifically to Accounting Standards and Key Accounting processes such as Close, Consolidation, and generation of Financial Statements and Footnotes Excellent general management skills in managing plans, people, and budgets. Leadership skills, ability to set direction and drive team to objectives, leading by example, and teamwork. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interface with people at all levels of the organization; technical and business sponsors to foster a collaborative environment. Ability to work independently, with strong organizational and flexibility skills in a team-oriented environment. Adept at using planning tools like MS Project and the MS Office Suite Accounting designation (e.g. CPA or equivalent) Relevant work experience in similar type of project where individual lead process change directly related to system change · Big 4 Accounting experience.
