Kforce has been retained by one of its local clients to find a Senior Network Engineer for a 3 month Contract-to-Hire in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. The primary responsibility of this role will be maintaining Data Network Infrastructure on all aspects of DNS, DHCP, IP allocation, and RSA authentication. The secondary functions will include Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Wan Accelerators, IPT Telephony Network, etc. The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Minimum 5 years of experience with DNS, DHCP, IP Allocation, and RSA authentication * Minimum 7 years of System Admin / Architecture experience in a 24x7 production operation * Flexibility to work in multiple locations in the Cincinnati Metro area Education and Experience: * An Associate's or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science is preferred Licenses, Credentials, and Certifications: * CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE are preferred SKILLS, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, and ABILITIES: * Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality * Superior listening and problem resolution skills * Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously * Self-directed with considerable initiative * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals * Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, and preferably customers and vendors as well * Proven Network experience in a production 24x7x365 Operation * In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS and Networking principles * Have a strong working knowledge of Networking, Routing, Switching, and IPT Phone Systems * Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco Network Infrastructure * Experience with Juniper, Cisco ASA, and Cisco LAN / WAN / Wireless, RSA, and Infoblox Infrastructure is a plus * Intimate knowledge of TCP/IP and standard internetworking protocols * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; as there will be significant interdepartmental interaction
