Having proven experience in data modeling, optimization of queries, index tuning etc. Must know Microsoft database fundamentals, relationships, normalization, MS-SQL job scheduling, temporary table usage, basic concepts very well Work experience in SQL 2005/2008 are very important Knowledge or experience in SSRS and SSIS is good. Database administration skills such as installation, backup/restore, monitor job schedules is must Good to have cluster skills, administration debugging skills.
