Web Project Manager, (E-commerce / Travel), to £35k Our client is a fast-growing online holiday company based in Exeter. They specialise in marketing a large portfolio of 4 and 5 star properties in the South West and beyond. Position: Project Co-ordinator/Manager Location: Exeter Salary: £30-35,000 per annum dependent on experience Duration: Fixed Term Contract, September 2012 - February 2013 ROLE: Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Web Project Manager to join their web project team in this critical project for the business. They are a rapidly growing business with ambitious plans that they'd like you to help them fulfil. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Direct and manage project development in line with agreed objectives and schedule through to end. b) Continuously measure progress against project plan, budget and success criteria and deliver progress reports to stakeholders throughout project life cycle. c) Brief prospective suppliers and evaluate supplier proposals against project objectives. d) Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis. e) Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and recruit if necessary during the project. f) Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Whilst delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel. g) Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. h) Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Proven experience in a similar Project Co-ordinator role or similar. a) Familiarity working with external and internal UX, design and development teams. b) Practice working across different business functions. c) Experience of successful delivery of consumer facing, high volume, E-commerce Web development projects. d) Strong familiarity with project management software including Microsoft Project.
