Citrix Administrator Job Description: Primary responsibilities for this position include operating a large, highly redundant, highly available enterprise Citrix XenDesktop and Xenapp team oriented environment. Proven experience with XenApp and XenDesktop architectural design, deployment, GPO administration, AD integration, and all other facets of Citrix product mix are required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate firsthand knowledge in the implementation, maintenance and stability of a Enterprise level Windows based design. Responsibilities include management, proactive oversight and direct support of systems and applications. Ideal candidate will be comfortable with participating in, leading and effectively communicating solution design, handling multiple projects and bringing creative ideas to meet complex business requirements in a distributed and complex environment. The position will also require occasional weekend work as part of a formal change control process and occasional after hours work to respond to any issues when required. An on call rotation is also expected from this position. Required Qualifications/Skills: Advanced working knowledge of Citrix Presentation Server 4.0 or 4.5, XenApp 6.0 & 6.5, XenDesktop 5.6, Citrix Access Gateway, and Citrix NetScaler. Design, implementation, and administration of a Citrix XenDesktop environment, with Provisioning Server and Edgesite on VMWare ESX 5.0 Design, implementation, and administration of a Citrix XenApp environment with migration from 4.0 to 6.5 Act as 3rd level support for end-users. Must be able to provide practical application of ITIL based best practices. Minimum Requirements: 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technologies. 5+ years in design, implementation, and administration of a Citrix/Xen environment. 5+ years of experience with VMware ESX server. 5+ years with Citrix technologies, particularly XenDesktop, XenServer, and XenApp. 5+ years of experience with Windows and Network engineering/administration required. Requires strong experience with Windows Active Directory, Terminal Server, DNS and Windows. Requires skills with basic network design and process documentation. Current MCSE certification a plus. Experiences with System Center Config Manager / Operations Manager a plus. Preferred Citrix Certifications: CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator) or CCEA (Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator). **Must be open to convert to full time after 6 months as a contractor.
