We have an immediate need for a Senior JAVA/J2EE/Websphere developer within our clients Applications Management Team. Candidates must be comfortable working in an Applications support environment. Normal business hours Technical Skills: JAVA, J2EE, Websphere, Struts, EJB's, JSP, RAD, Production Support This position provides production support for Websphere/Portal applications for corporate applications. The applications are integrated with both Oracle and DB2 databases and are used in support of critical business functions. The developer role will be responsible for understanding and supporting products and processes in production to ensure that applications have high availability order to meet business needs for successful customer servicing. The developer will be responsible for timely and thorough troubleshooting of application issues and will implement solutions quickly. They will coordinate with the appropriate internal department's resources to assist with problem resolution. There may be some interface with vendors as needed. Communications will occur both verbal and written to internal and external customers. Work with multiple groups across the firm to resolve issues.
