I am looking for a designer who can create (as well as adapt and maintain) a website for children to learn maths. It will need to manage large numbers of simultaneous users, each with their own login and each working at their specific learning level, so the system will need to track learning progress over time, report this to our control panel and present children with questions at their level. The front end of the site is simple, with one frame into which fit: Question (pdf, animation or interactive chart etc.) Button which creates an internal pop-up (unblockable) tutorial video Answer space Toggle on/off calculator (depending on whether it is a calculator question) Maths character kit for squares/square roots/algebra etc. Overlay protractor (angle measurer) Overlay ruler (length measurer) Credit is scored for each correct answer. A button/link is available where the children can go to spend their credit. This will link to an online shop with e-commerce functionality. Login landing page. Landing page for parents which includes requests for payment details (Credit Card or Direct Debit), registration information (age, address etc.). Control panel for parents to monitor progress and set minimum/maximum spend levels. Preferably using sliders. Control panel for teachers to monitor usage and progress (questions answered, which ones required use of tutorial videos, length of time on question page, length of time on site etc.). Control panel for administrators to monitor overall site statistics (and usage and progress statistics for each school). Back office for simple uploading, addition and replacement of material in triads of (a) question (pdf/animation/interactive graph), (b) tutorial video and (c) acceptable answer(s). There will need to be an adaptive referencing system for the questions which allows the addition of new material at any time, as more may be added at each learning level. For example, it must be possible to add more questions to the Level 2 Fractions question set without interrupting the learning process of the kids in level 2 or pushing other questions out of the set. Children will cycle through questions at their level in a predefined order, and will be able to take a graduation test at the end of each level in order to move up a level. If they pass, the system will move them up a level. If not, they will revert to the start of the level. Ideally, this level ordering system will be split into several sub-topics, such as Division, Multiplication and Fractions, such that the child can be repeating level 4 Fractions and yet be on level 7 for Algebra.
