We are seeking a Network Engineer to be responsible for carrying out configuration and installation of network equipment including routers and switches in support of large scale application implementations. Additional responsibilities include working with application engineers to analyze application performance across enterprise networks including the use of network tools to capture and analyze performance data. This person will complete project related tasks and develop and maintain detailed network installation and configuration documentation. This person will work closely with others in the Network team and the entire IT organization. Job Overview: Configures, implements and maintains local and wide area network environments including port level configuration to support physical and virtual server environments Conduct application performance testing and consolidate results using a variety of network tools Data captures, packet-level analysis Analyze data to pinpoint application performance issues Monitors system (network-centric) performance Follows projects schedules and delivers to stated timelines Assists with corporate network projects and support as required Requirements: Minimum 5 years IT/Network/Telco work experience Strong technical and troubleshooting skills Understanding of local and wide area network concepts, IP routing protocols and topologies, switching technologies, VLANs, packet-level performance analysis and application troubleshooting, Wireshark, Cisco routers and switches, DHCP, DNS, and VPN, Microsoft AD, Email, Web, Virtualization, Microsoft Visio, Excel, and Word Excellent written and oral communications skills Proven track record of success Ability to work independently Ability to interface with other employees in order to deliver the required service Preferred Candidates will also have: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related experience Industry recognized certifications (CCNA, CCNP, MCITP, FCNSP, FCNSA, SSCA,CCA) In-depth knowledge of Fortinet, Vyatta, Wi-Fi, SIP/RTP, VoIP and Video, DNS, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS/SSL, Citrix including XenServer and XenApp, Dell-EqualLogic Storage Arrays, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Asterisk, Pathview, What's Up Gold This is a full-time position.
