Senior Design Engineer, Power
Adecco Technical is currently recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer, Power to join the staff of one of our esteemed clients in Ft. Collins, CO (might consider Boulder or Denver as a last case scenario for the right candidate). This is a 6 month Contract to Hire position. The successful candidate will help grow and lead a team of design engineers, acting as technical mentor and lead designer for Aerospace and Defense Applications. This is a 'hands-on' role requiring a strong technical background and product development experience. Desired Candidate Profile Working Experience: Minimum 10 years working experience in electrical design and has proven record of executing design projects in a design center. Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering Job Description Propose with partners/customer a suitable architecture and specification for new developments. Propose to customer for alternative components due to obsolescence or cost down Product design covering the whole project cycle inc. schematics, simulation, analysis and layout guidelines, validation and introduction to manufacturing. System validation including DVT, SPIT (Signal, Power, Integrity & Timing) environmental & regulatory approval. Sourcing of alternative functional blocks for compatibility and cost effectiveness and benchmarking of these functional blocks Work with other team members to understand complete system design Technical support to the sales and marketing team. Address DFx, Design for test, manufacture, regulatory Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, hyperlynx, spice expert Development with adherence to DO 254 quality standards Must Have Experience / Qualifications: Candidates should have 10 or more years' experience in Aerospace Design. Candidates should have the following essential qualifications and experience: Bachelor's Degree or Master Degree in Engineering discipline. Power design of AC/DC (60 Hz, 400Hz), DC/DC Broad knowledge of proven stable topologies for power conversion Analog circuit design for sensing and monitoring a plus Oscilloscope, power stability (Venable or other) strong familiarity / expertise Mentor Graphics DxDesigner Schematic capture Knowledge of the following would be desirable: Experience of working in multidisciplinary development teams Mentor Graphics Expedition & Hyperlynx Simulation Software .
