Our customer is in search of a network engineer to come on board their team of 18. This position is with a technology solutions provider focused on mission-critical communications for First Responders, Emergency Communications, Disaster Recovery, and Continuity of Operations. Specializing in the design, development, and implementation of tactical IP-Centric communications. They provided turnkey solutions for Voice, Video and Data in support of Incident Command and Communications. Using these tools, emergency responders and crisis leadership can rapidly establish essential command presence, resource control, and communication interoperability allowing for critical situational awareness, response and mitigation. This position will be designing, supporting and maintaining Cisco wireless networks and LAN's for customers, which consist of: Charlotte Fire Department, Anne Arundel County, The US Army, FEMA, National Guard, State of Maryland, Exelon, Pacific Gas and Safety, just to name a few. The candidate will be working in the office designing, configuring, and implementing Cisco networks, voip, wireless, and security driven. They will be designing and configuring the network in a lab and then helping to implement it into their emergency responder vehicles. There are technicians who will do most of the installation process of installing routers & switches into the vans and trucks. These communications systems are designed to work anywhere, no matter what! They are also used sometimes for large events such as football games, concerts, and large community events.
