We are working with one of the leading clients and they are looking for SQL Server Code Reviewer for a contract opportunity. BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for reviewing all code changes on a daily basis for possible defects, performance, design flaws, and best practices for Microsoft SQL Server Databases. This resource will provide daily reporting on the changes reviewed. This resource will research, evaluate, and recommend tools for automating code reviews. Mentors less experienced developers on development best practices and performance improvements. The type of candidate that would best fit this role would be someone that has grown up in a database development role BUT will now be reviewing the coding work of others. This person MUST be willing to spend up to 100% of their time reviewing code along with creating and updating documentation on best practices and organizational coding standards. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 10 years of IT work experience in Microsoft SQL Server Development, SSIS, DBMS design, and support and relevant computing environments. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services Works independently, receives minimal guidance Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
