Modis is currently recruiting for a Sr. Citrix Engineer for a long term opportunity located in the heart of Arlington, VA (Ballston area). The Citrix Support Engineer performs advanced functions responsible for overseeing Citrix infrastructure services, maintaining and delivering Citrix application layer support for various projects. The candidate must have a strong background working with VMware ESXi 5 virtualization and Citrix platforms (Xenapp 5 and 6.5) to support applications for a global user-base. • Intakes business requirements and provide designs and estimates for new Citrix delivery projects • Works collaboratively with a wide range of business and IT teams to solved business problems and to delivery highly complex solutions • Works independently to lead delivery efforts • Performs maintenance and enhancements for existing Citrix implementations • Defines and maintains standard operating procedures and other documentation required to support the Citrix environment • Participates in staff rotations to cover critical support functions including on-call support coverage for critical after hours incidents This is a great, dynamic opportunity for an experienced IT professional.
