Job Title: QA Testing Lead Location: North Austin Duration: Contract to Hire Compensation: DOE Job Description: This is a great opportunity for a QA Tester that is ready to take on a lead role or a QA Tester with lead experience. The QA Lead is responsible for QA for an agile team developing a lending system, including QA planning, execution, and reporting. The QA effort will focus as much as possible on automated GUI testing, but there will also be a need for manual testing. Work will be delegated to 3 QA team members in India, so ability to effectively work with a remote team is essential, as is ability to communicate and work effectively with developers. You would have the option of conducting team calls to India at a reasonable time in the morning (between 8am and 9am is anticipated) or late in the evening. The QA Lead must be technically skilled and willing to do hands on work as needed. Experience with QA in an agile environment and experience working with remote QA engineers are both highly desirable. Requirements: • Track record of successful QA planning and execution. • Experience creating and modifying test scripts. • Knowledge of testing techniques and approaches. • Experience constructing test plans from requirements. • Automated GUI testing experience, ideally with SilkTest (experience with other testing applications like QTP or Selenium is also acceptable). • Strong analytical problem solving skills. Desired but Not Required: • Experience testing APIs is a plus • Expertise and experience with Unix/Linux, Windows, shell scripting, databases, bug tracking, configuration management. • BS or equivalent, MS in CS or related field is preferred. • At least 4 years of QA experience. • Experience directing activities of an offshore QA team. • Strong project management skills.
