Client is looking for a Part Time Electrical Engineer (24-40 per week) for an estimated 12 months assignment in Mayfield Village, OH area. It pays in the range of $30/hr to $40/hr based on experience. SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION: Need an experienced Engineering Technician or Project Engineer. Person will report to and have work scheduled by the engineering department lead. IMPORTANT: Expected working hours are 24-40 per week. This will fluctuate and therefore a flexible hours/day schedule is negotiable. The major duties are to verify design drawings against bills of material for industrial systems panels, order all parts, and provide a quality release to manufacturing. Independent judgment is frequently required to evaluate the quality of the drawings. Working knowledge and/or the ability to add or size components shown on schematics using proper codes (such as UL or NEC) and according to Allen Bradley standards. Knowledge of business systems for procurement and material tracking (such as SAP or IFS) a plus. Requirements: EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent training or job experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum three years experience designing industrial electrical systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interpersonal Interfacing with manufacturing to answer questions or overcome problems with the panel layouts and bills of material. Interfacing with the product planner to overcome parts problems, such as delivery dates, by possibly finding a substitute part. Business Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, and functional policies published on the Client's Information Network. COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: Work requires mental concentration and visual interpretation of complex schematics to structure and conceptualize the packaging design with pressures to create accurate documentation within the constraints of a tight schedule. Work requires mental concentration and visual acuity to utilize computer terminals, approximately 40% of the work time.
