Job Description: Project Management & Implementation Trainer Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 4+ Months (Contract) Compensation: $18.11/hr Experienced Candidates with 2 years minimum experience are encouraged to apply. Summary Description: Individuals in this role typically work as a team member with Project Managers and depending upon the nature of the program, Educational Methods professionals, Subject Matter Specialists and Sponsors in either the development and implementation of assigned programs/projects or on the implementation of learning programs/events within a particular market or markets. Individuals are expected to have an understanding of how these programs fit within the context of broader LOS, Firm and L&E Priorities and may be responsible for the development and implementation of smaller low complexity programs under the direction of a more senior project and/or market implementation managers. PMI Senior Associates are expected to understand the context of their project assignments within the broad overall program design and to be able to effectively manage all of the implementation aspects of a program/project. The PMI Sr. Associate will be required to team with various individuals and groups to deliver high impact, high quality, differentiated client service. PMI Sr Associates oversee the effective implementation of the program delivery aspects for various programs/areas of responsibility, engaging with MES, program sponsors, PMI project managers and other groups as appropriate (e.g. HR, FOLE's, Office Services, etc). They are responsible for ensuring assigned project tasks/responsibilities (program development & execution) remain on track and/or escalating to project/market implementation managers and directors. They are expected to operate within established program budgets and to meet established program/project deadlines and deliverables. Individuals in this role will either be focused on performing assigned responsibilities either primarily within a geographic market or for nationally delivered programs. Individuals with market implementation responsibilities will spend less time on program development responsibilities outlined herein and more on the implementation planning and execution aspects of the role. Strategic & Technical Orientation: Individuals in this role are expected to have/or develop basic level familiarity with learning solutions/methods including instructional design, learning objectives, major educational technologies (self-study, virtual classroom, performance support) and adult learning theory. They are also expected to have strong event management/implementation skills with a hospitality mindset. PMI Sr Associates are expected to understand the Firm and the distinctions between Lines of Service especially as they relate to program implementation and must be able to apply and adapt their skills to frequently changing circumstances. They are expected to possess basic level project management skills and be able to develop more advanced skills over time. They must be able to work independently and to prioritize their time to complete project tasks/deliverables within established project timeframes. PMI Sr. Associates work effectively with Subject Matter Specialists, MES, HR, Facilities, FOLEs, and other L&E team members to accomplish goals They must develop a solid understanding of NASBA and AICPA CPE requirements. Range of Impact: Individuals are expected to work with others in the L&E team to effectively implement learning solutions to meet identified business needs and may work directly with sponsors and subject matter specialists in supporting the development and implementation of course content. Working with a Project Lead and or Market Implementation Lead (MIL), PMI Sr. Associates must be able to evaluate possible courses of action and use judgment to make recommendations on program implementation. They must be able to effectively collaborate with others and problem solve and are expected to recommend changes to approach and process to enhance program/deliverables. They are expected to thrive when multi-tasking and to be pro-active in troubleshooting and problem solving issues and problems on a real-time basis in particular while on-site at training events. They must have solid judgment and an ability to apply it in stressful situations. They must be able to influence and in some cases direct team members, program participants and instructors in order to effectively accomplish objectives for their areas of responsibility. PMI Sr. Associates work with a high degree of independence in accomplishing assigned responsibilities. Scope of Responsibility: The PMI Sr. Associate typically works as part of a project team in the development and implementation of L&E courses. They will be expected to work with external project team resources, Subject Matter Specialists and Faculty assigned to the program and may supervise less experienced team members (including alternative resources) in the implementation aspects of program delivery. Assigned programs may be designed to reach a national or market based audience and are considered both long- and short-term in impact. Individuals will be held responsible for managing their time within agreed project deadlines and to assist in the management of other project resources. Depending upon the size and complexity of a given learning program, the PMI Sr. Associate will either lead the program implementation or may be a member of a team focused on program implementation. They are expected to work on multiple program assignments simultaneously. The PMI Sr. Associate will work on a variety of Assurance, Tax, IFS, Advisory and Firmwide L&E programs within and outside their market/geographic area. While they do not directly own program budgets, they have responsibility to identify cost savings, recommend the most cost effective methods to implement various programs, and assist in the analysis of implementation spend.
