The Project Manager works across the business, IS management, Quality Assurance and Testing, Systems Analyst, Software Development, and Technical Writing teams to ensure the delivery of a high quality software application. Primary technical point of contact with management and various technical personnel on project from project inception through completion. Develops project schedules, coordinates project status meetings, manages resources in all phases of software development lifecycle. Works with the project business owner to oversee delivery performance, ensure delivery quality and report schedule, cost, and execution performance. Graduate degree preferred Experience: •Experience of a planning/analytical role within a IT environment. •Experience of using a HP PPM & MS Project tools •Excellent analytical and statistical skills and experience •Maintaining the resource planning and allocation for the portfolio of projects. •Liaise successfully with the Groups internal and external clients, to determine their requirements and to understand any problems which they report. •Manage several projects simultaneously if necessary. •Interact and communicate with the business and IT colleagues, and vendors, developing relationships and projecting a positive image of the Group IT Department. •Consistently schedule work accurately so that targets are achieved. •Define the scope of projects and draw up the project management plans. •Identify areas where procedures and processes are required and assist with implementing where required. •Communicate project progress to the appropriate stakeholders. Skills: •Excellent organizational and communication skills •Resourcing experience. •Project management experience. •Budgeting and Forecasting •A logical and methodical approach with good attention to detail. •Able to work effectively on many different tasks at the same time. •Ability to work under pressure and identify priority tasks to ensure successful project delivery. •Knowledge of creating processes, procedures and project management principles / approaches. •Experience of man management and the ability to handle conflict effectively with all levels within the business. •Ability to prioritise and meet, or re-negotiate deadlines •Ability to provide first class scheduling and forecasting strategies
