IT Project Manager to join our client’s IT PMO to work primarily in the IT area. The IT PMO is a new, centralized organization that sources project managers for all areas of IT. Currently the IT division is in need of 2 Project Managers to lead multiple efforts. Required Qualifications: 4 year degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. 8 or more years of experience showing a demonstrated competency in delivering efficient and effective solutions Experience as a PM with application solution projects worth $5 M approximately Ability to work within a matrixed (including contractors) environment with specific responsibility and accountability to Business Management/Sponsors, IT Management/Sponsors, and IT PMO leadership. Ability to effectively apply structured project management methodologies – especially Waterfall and Iterative approaches Demonstrated effective project management skills, especially planning and directing work efforts, and motivating teammates. Demonstrated success with scheduling and cost (budget/forecast) processes. Demonstrated ability to effectively track, analyze and trend project schedules to ensure successful and timely completion. Demonstrated interpersonal, human relations and communications skills. Works efficiently with customers, teammates, and management. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately using oral and written communications. Effective presentation skills. Effectively negotiates with others to reach agreement which will meet the organization’s needs Ability to conduct effective meetings. Ability to effectively apply established project standards and change management processes Responsibilities Include: Execution of Project Management processes and deliverables a) Project planning activities to include: documenting scope, developing a detailed project budget and schedule, and defining required project resources b) Manage the project work plan to ensure that defined project milestones are achieved and tasks are completed as planned c) Identify and implement methods to improve the project d) Ensure all project measures of success are achieved e) Analyze and control proposed changes to the project plan or cost estimate; Execute appropriate Change Control processes as necessary f) Anticipate, document, and monitor project issues and risks g) Manage project financials to include tracking actuals and forecasting remaining spend on a monthly basis h) Ensure development and maintenance of appropriate project documentation and records of assumptions, important events, decisions, actions, or problems Bi-Weekly status reporting to the IT PMO Manage sponsor expectations and ensures that project requirements are documented and achieved; maintains status updates to project sponsors as defined by current team practices Manage a team of matrixed resources across IT and business support groups C3G is a fast-growing, information technology staffing and consulting company.
