Financial Analyst
The main objective of the Financial Analysts role is to provide support and services to the Business Controller of Finance, HR and other Corporate functions. The Financial Analyst will assist with financial control, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for the cost centers under the Business Controller's responsibility. The main responsibilities will be in the areas of process, development, and others to include: Monthly business owner and Manager Reports for all Departments Monthly project spend analysis Monthly update to fixed asset schedule Monthly update to roster Quarterly group finance reporting (restructuring savings tracker/development spend analysis) Annual investment/impairment reviews and other annual requirements Review actual transactions for accuracy and re-class/correct as needed including top-side adjustments and budget transfers Manage project financials and communicate actual out-turn and variances from plan to project managers Produce ad hoc reporting for business owners as needed (T/E analysis, FTE reconciliations, etc.) Assist as needed with commissioned deep-dive projects (benchmarking, process reviews, etc.) Ensure correct monthly accruals Provide financial input in business modeling Review monthly variances versus budget/forecast; identify problem areas and provide recommendations Monitor and assist on cost saving plans Assist with the Budget, Re-forecasting, and the 3 Year Strategy Plan Perform Labor/Payroll Analysis General Knowledge and Technical Skills: Financial and Management Accounting Strong analytical skills High MS Office proficiency (Excel, Access, etc.) Experience with Hyperion, Business Objects, and Oracle Competencies: Time Management, efficient Prioritization; focus on Quality and Accuracy; use a structured and organized approach; possess organizational awareness, be service-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and be result-orientated Required Education and Experience: Finance or Accounting Degree 1-3 years of analysis experience Provide monthly business owner and Manager Reports for all Departments Perform monthly project spend analysis Perform monthly updates to the fixed asset schedule Perform monthly updates to a roster Quarterly group finance reporting experience (restructuring savings tracker and development spend analysis) Provide annual investment/impairment reviews and other annual requirements
