Infrastructure Project Manager
Our Public Sector client requires an Infrastructure Project Manager for a one year engagement. Specific Deliverables for all projects include: Project initiation including development of charter, scope statement and estimates of schedule and cost Project planning will include blueprint development and solutions acceptance process facilitation Project execution and control, including the interaction with key stakeholders and customers, status reporting, communications, schedule management, quality management,and risk management etc. Project close out, including server acceptance process facilitation, service activation tasks and the completion of post project review and client satisfaction surveys The Project Manager should have significant experience managing large infrastructure projects (data centres, servers, SAN’s networks). Day-to-day project management involves: Working per the client's Project Management life cycle to provide cluster clients with assistance in identifying and defining the high level parameters of a project Project Management and troubleshooting during each of the 5 phases of the project life cycle (initiation, planning, execution, control and closure) Accountability for all project documentation and updates including project charter, scope statement, risk management plan, change management plan, schedule (including Gantt Chart), communication plan, quality management plan and procurement plan Documentation of project lessons learned and the recording and archival of documentation upon project conclusion Knowledge of project management tools, including MS Project, Basys, or equivalents The Consultant(s) will also be required to: Complete work and deliver the deliverables/milestones within the assigned deadline Notify the Cluster/Ministry project Manager in writing of any issues or other material concerns, as soon as the Vendor becomes aware of it; Submit deliverables for Ministry approval as they are completed Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry security procedures and practices Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry architecture/technology standards and best-practices Comply with the Ontario Government and the Cluster/Ministry Conflict of Interest, and Confidentiality Guidelines Provide knowledge and skill transfer to internal project staff where appropriate; and Comply with Ontario Government I&IT Security Directives Policies, Guidelines, Standards and Procedures.
