Our client, a large government integrator, is looking for 2 SQL Server Database Developers to join their team in the Chesapeake, VA area. They are in need of these two new people to help them get SQL Server 2008 up and running. These candidate will get a chance to work with the UI and develop in multiple layers. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be responsible for development with ETL, ie; data transformation, cleansing and tuning of data warehouses. They will perform data storage, security, and performance management. Preparing detailed reports, working with data structures and evaluating data base design is also required. To be qualified for this position, individuals should have at least 5-9 years of IT experience with 3 years of ETL, SQL Server Development, 2005/2008. 2 year of Business intelligence with SSRS/SSIS and BI stack experience is required. A year or so of development experience with .NET in order to connect the databases to the UI. Good communication is a must. This position is scheduled as a 6 months contract-to-hire opportunity.
