The client uses large marketing databases that integrate multiple sources of data. As the Customer Intelligence Architect, you will be responsible for knowing the underlying data, but also providing strategic direction and decision making on the intelligence it represents. Once hired, the qualified candidate will be immersed in the development and maintenance of database marketing solutions to meet client business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES Data warehouse architecture and ETL design Build and maintenance of SQL procedures and ETL processes Design and implementation of technical vision for client project Ownership of overall project architecture and technical delivery of solution Interaction with client on regular basis Assistance in requirements gathering and data analysis as needed Estimating work effort and assisting the Project Manager with task planning and LOE (level of effort) estimates Providing technical leadership and oversight of a project development team Development of strategic roadmaps for the consumption and expansion of customer data Guidance and mentoring in database marketing development best practices Technical documentation Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS More than 7 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 a bonus), Oracle, Netezza or other major RDBMS Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related IT field or relevant professional experience Exceptional understanding of SQL, T-SQL Significant experience with at least one leading ETL tool, preferably SSIS Strong knowledge of Microsoft customer and partner data sources preferred Strong knowledge of software engineering and development methodologies, techniques, and tools, including Configuration Management (CVS), Issue Tracking, and Software Development Lifecycle (waterfall, agile) Experience as a team lead Significant experience designing and implementing large databases and data warehouses utilizing both relational and dimensional design concepts Working knowledge of at least one BI tool, such as SSRS, Cognos, Business Objects or Microstrategy Experience with a campaign tool, such as Alterian, preferred Experience with Customer Data Integration or Master Data Management preferred Experience in database marketing preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Technical consulting experience required This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
