The Data Network Engineer must be capable of performing network engineering functions including; conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization. The candidate must be experienced in assessing evolving user needs, translating those needs into network changes through network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation and test. Knowledge in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols is required. Familiarity with Main Communications Facilities, Data Switches and Routers, and related HVAC requirements is also a requirement. Candidates must meet criteria to pass a background check and obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance. This company will assist applicants with submitting the necessary background check and security clearance request forms. *Minimum 5 years experience in design and implementation of data networks and sub systems. * Project Management experience * Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Vision, excel, Powerpoint and word processing skills are required. * Extensive knowledge in QoS and 7 Layer OS model required. * Working knowledge of virtualization environments is required. * Current Cisco certification is required. * Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneous is required. * Ability to work flexible/extended hours is required. * A valid driver's license is required. * Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Department of Defense secret clearance.
