COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS CONSULTANT (6 MONTH CONTRACT) - MAC21255
Our client, a reputable organization in the agricultural and industrial equipment industry, is looking for a dedicated professional to lead the implementation and design of its compensation and benefits programs for a 6 month tenure. The chosen candidate will work closely with HR Manager and store management to ensure that compensation plans are competitive and continue to meet business requirements. Our client offers a great work location for residents of Northeast Calgary, free parking and a competitive rate! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES: Manage the entire development, review, delivery and administration of compensation programs, including merit and bonus pay and other salary increases, benefits programs, and service awards. Implement salary ranges for positions using salary surveys and make recommendations for changes based on market analysis and internal client needs. Provide advice, guidance and technical expertise on programs, policies and procedures. Develop and implement tools and processes regarding pay and job classification and grading. Respond to internal and external requests for Total Reward information and coach managers on pay and market information. Participate in acquisition activity which includes developing comparative analysis of total reward programs, employee impact Results and making recommendations on alternative solutions. Ensure that compensation programs are in compliance with all government regulations and legislative requirements. Provide market trends and analysis for assessing workforce patterns, employee needs, market competitiveness and regulatory compliance. Conduct ongoing analysis of compensation and benefit programs to support the development of plan design and revisions. Administer and manage health plans and retirement plans. Design, implement and administer a Service Awards program. Design and implement benefits policies. Analyze and design programs based on changes in policy direction and trend analysis. QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE: 3+ years of extensive experience in the field of Compensation & Benefits. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in a related field is an asset. Experience in the implementation of salary surveys and benefits analysis is a must. MBA is an asset. strong knowledge of Alberta work legislation. Great client service skills (You must be able to identify, analyze and respond to internal client needs). strong problem solving skills (You must be comfortable with research and analysis to support decision-making). Excellent initiative (You must take ownership to find solutions, understand what resources are available and where to find them). strong time management skills.
