Experis is looking for a Security Analyst for a contract position with one of our leading clients in Philadelphia, PA. Ideal candidates would be detail oriented and analytical by nature. Experience with Splunk would be ideal but not required. Candidates should have strong experience auditing and analyzing security logs. Client REQUIRES a F2F Interview so candidates must be local to the area. REQUIRED SKILLS: -The right candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and analytical with a strong security background and extensive experience working with large amounts of data (terabytes). -The ability to analyze and correlate data (log events) and perform forensics on security incidents. -Creation of accurate queries using Splunk (or SQL) and reporting on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis. -Create and maintain documentation for supported systems. -Retrieving batch-level data using Splunk (or SQL). -Experience programming in a batch environment utilizing large tables and high transaction throughput requirements. -Demonstrated experience using bulking techniques and partition utilization to increase performance. RESPONSIBLITIES: -Assess applications to identify recurring security events and identify risks utilizing manual techniques. -Provide viable recommendations for minimizing or eliminating identified security risks. -Identify and implement automated assessment techniques and processes, advise and assist with implementing recommendations where needed. -Deliver previously developed information security services in support of corporate needs including: requirements gathering, technical design, service deployment and integration, migration, operational transition and end user documentation. -Investigate raw logs and structured languages looking for common security-related events and specific issues, correlate those events and communicate findings. -Retrieve batch data from several terabytes of data, analyze data to uncover patterns and correlating events.
