Database Administrator Atlanta, GA Database Administrator/Engineer Skills: Database Administrator (DBA), Stored Procedures, Support, Backup/Recovery, OLTP/OLAP architecture, SQL Server, SQL 2008 R2 Business Intelligence (BI) suite Summary Be part of a fun, entrepreneurial, dynamic, environment alongside some of the best architects in the online finance industry. Your responsibilities will include: day-to-day database administrative tasks, such as: proactive monitoring, error checking, performance tuning, replication, trouble-shooting, back-up and recovery. Managing user security and access to databases to provide a controlled access environment. Work with application developers, data analysts, and database engineers to maintain database schemas ETL, OLTP, OLAP design and implementation for end-to-end BI support including report design. Participate in testing of all database-related changes. Have fun collaborating on challenging objectives where your opinion matters, you grow and are recognized and rewarded for your contributions. This is a 90 day contract to hire opportunity. Qualifications: Excellent understanding and experience with OLTP and OLAP database architecture Advanced expertise in stored procedure diagnosis, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring/tuning, and general database administration including development best practices Strong understanding of database support including backup and recovery Experience working with and troubleshooting SQL Server, Analysis Services and Reporting Services Experience with DTS including Dynamic Properties, Global Variables, and the DTS object model Strong understanding of MSSQL 2008 R2 Business Intelligence suite including reporting services, power pivot and performance point. Experience with optimization and troubleshooting techniques to address performance issues. Experience in the Financial industry is a plus Experience with Amazon Cloud environments Familiarity with Microsoft .NET framework and Team Foundation Services Comfortable with multi-tasking and meeting project deadlines. Detail oriented, with exemplary analytical and troubleshooting skills.
