Apply Online or send Resume and desired Daily Rate to Kelly.Graeff@TechnologyMgmt.com Assignment expected to be 6 months to 1+ year Main Function The primary function of the Business Analyst is to assist in the project management of the Global Reference Data (GRD) portfolio of projects based in Jersey City. More specifically, the Business Analyst will be responsible to assist in developing and implementing an initiative to consolidate multiple security and pricing masters into single platforms respectively. The successful applicant will work closely with the GRD core processing managers, Reference Data IT, and the global Change Management project managers. Responsibility may also extend to assist in developing and implementing the product and pricing strategy for Reference Data along system, operational and process lines. Main Duties Work directly with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit Business Requirements, formally document these requirements for project prioritization and system development Working directly with IT resources to assist in the design of solutions that satisfy all business requirements Perform data analysis in support of a particular project(s) Identify and capture all project related issues and raise to the Project Manager for mitigation/resolution Assist with preparation, coordination, and execution of User Acceptance Testing Provide implementation support in terms of procedure / process flow documentation and coordination of any required training Help develop and deliver the GRD product strategy across operational, process and system components Person Requirements Essential Qualifications /education: Degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field Experience required: 5 – 7 years of experience in the financial services industry Skills and knowledge: (Specific product knowledge/PC skills/languages etc) – Broad knowledge of securities products, pricing, and investment banking Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications Broad understanding of project management methodologies Candidate Profile: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels Organized, structured, and strong attention to detail Preferred Experience required: Specific experience as a Business Analyst preferably for a investment firm Skills and knowledge: (Specific product knowledge/PC skills/languages etc) Some understanding of Operations, preferably Reference Data Experience with SQL helpful
