Develop detailed and robust requirements, code, test, and implement proposed systems. Write conversion code for VSAM to DB2. Apply prior hands-on experience with projects supporting multi-tiered architecture. Required to work as a Technical Lead and provide technical oversight customer team members. Required experience with technical documentation, system design and specifications. Skills Requirements: Required Experience with the following Mainframe tools: TSO/ISPF, ENDEVOR Platinum, QMF (DB2 tool), SPUFI (DB2 tool), Expeditor (Batch debugging tool), File Aid Experience with JCL, Copybooks, Parms, Procs on Mainframe Experience with DB2,VSAM, Flat files Experience with conversion from VSAM to DB2 Experience/knowledge of relational databases, DB2 and Oracle Experience with HTML Knowledge of Java J2EE Framework Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within Mainframe application systems. Designs, develops, integrates enterprise solutions, applying reverse-engineering and reengineering disciplines to develop strategic solutions. Proven problem solving skills. Self-managed with the ability to mentor others. Familiarity with project management frameworks. Ability to work with many different types of departments as well as interact with senior management. Excellent communication and customer relationship skills. Experience in gathering requirements/business process information. Experience with RequisitePro or other requirements management tool. Exposure to writing technical White Papers and systems design documents Experience with Quality Center Experience with developing Data Flow Diagrams and use cases Well versed in SDLC, as well as RUP, Agile, Waterfall methodologies. Desired Experience in writing Technical White Papers and systems design documents. Self starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment. Familiar with Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI. Familiar with MS Project and Visio. Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively. Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 11 years or more of professional IT experience; or 9 years Must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.
