Test conformance requirements for Small Business software catalog: downloading, installation, activation on server platforms and usage reporting functionality. OVERVIEW Organize, plan and execute QA validation for the client's product Follow through on reported defects and work collaboratively with Engineering team on testing fixes and updates Participate in Management meetings to report status Analyze and propose recommendations to streamline the QA process Multi-task to progress on objectives Participate when needed to interact with customers and field deployed systems for troubleshooting issues Tailor effective QA plans based on product architecture and design documents Effectively utilize, plan, forecast lab resources Must be comfortable with multicultural and geographically dispersed teams (time zones) REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of related work experience Strong networking background (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN) and ability to troubleshooting network connectivity issues Hands-on domain knowledge: Windows, Linux Ability to configure Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, Microsoft services - Remote Desktop, SQL, SharePoint and Linux Operating Systems Strong verbal, written, organization and communication skills White / Black box testing Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure Test coverage, analysis, and patch management experience ADDITIONAL SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE) Customer facing experience Ability to grasp Product Arch Virtualization environments - Xen, VMware Estimated length of assignment: 12 months with option to extend to 18 months Number of positions available: 1 Estimated hours per week: 40 % of travel required: <5% Telecommuting: Only on a need basis; primary needs to be on site Please include a daytime phone number where you can best be reached along with your resume.
