Safety Engineer
A prestigious Marine Defence contractor currently seeks a number of Safety Engineers Person / Qualifications Degree or equivalent in the appropriate discipline Preferably Professional Institurion membership The candidate should have an understanding of safety legislation, the health and safety at work act and HSE guidance on safety (e.g. reducing risks, protecting people -R2P2). That should include knowledge of the ALARP principle, and the concept of duty of care. The candidate is likely to have experience of safety analysis work in one of the following industries, nuclear, defence, petrochemical, aviation, railways, maritime industries. Candidates that have worked in related engineering disciplines such as System engineering, System integration, System Safety, Reliability, Software engineering may also have transferable skills for this safety engineering opportunity. The candidate should have experience of at least one of the following analysis tools/techniques 1) System Safety analysis 2) Hazard ID, Hazard analysis, PHA, SWIFT, HazOp (pre, 1, 2), Hazard log 3) Failure Modes Effects Analysis and FMECA 4) Fault tree analysis, event tree analysis 5) Accidence sequence modelling 6) Cause/consequence analysis 7) Root cause analysis 8) Probabilistic Safety Assessment 9) Safety Case production (Claim argument evidence) 10) Functional block analysis 11) Mathematical modelling
