Interim Head of Procurement
A new job opportunity has arisen for an Interim Head of Procurement for a NHS organisation in London. You will be managing a small team during a period of transition, and will be responsible for developing and managing the procurement strategy as well as providing specialist procurement advice, day-to-day purchasing, and e-procurement. Duties include: Delivering a procurement and supplies strategy Ensuring the procurement service meets the organisation needs Managing a small but busy procurement team Leading on procurement tender processes Championing good working relationships with suppliers Training and guiding internal staff on best practice procurement policy Ensuring procurement governance Undertaking spend analysis Contract management You must demonstrate: Procurement management experience in a large and complex organisation Knowledge of EU procurement regulations Experience managing a procurement team NHS procurement experience is preferred MCIPS qualification Working knowledge of purchasing systems Whilst this is initially an interim role, there is the possibility of a permanent Head of Procurement opportunity in future.
