Position: Sr. Test Training Consultant (US citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply) Location: Suitland, MD Duration: 12Months+ Exp:10+yrs Consultant should have the ability to develop a simple concept of operations at the very beginning. The CONOPS should include the as is state, the proposed state, and a high level plan to get from the as is to the proposed. Skills Knowledge of VB scripting in case workflows for TMO need customization in ALM Good troubleshooting skills (or reach back) to handle any environmental issues introduced with patch deployment or software pushes from our central IT LAN staff that could potentially conflict with the HP products Knowledge of maintaining projects at the Global Template level Knowledge of integration of QTP and QC/ALM as well as knowledge of QTP communicating with databases and Serena Business Manager Knowledge of best practices for structuring Requirements, Test Cases, Test Labs, and Resources (utilizing QTP resources within QC/ALM at a minimum) Knowledge of best practices for utilizing traceability so that a Lead can quickly identify what the impact of a defect or change in process will have over all Job Duties Provide guidance to identify roles and responsibilities for each type of user Provide informal training to staff on ALM, QC, and QTP as necessary. More specifically: Provide informal training of administering system/projects within QC Provide informal training and assistance in creating requirements and assigning to Releases and Cycles Provide informal training and assistance in creating requirements and linking to test cases Provide informal training and assistance in creating and analyzing requirement and test coverage Provide informal training and assistance in converting requirements to test cases Provide informal training and assistance in test design and execution Provide informal training on importing existing requirements and test cases into QC Provide guidance on best practices in setting up “global templates” to keep all projects the same with the same fields utilized within ALM Assist in defining standards across all projects within QC Provide guidance on best practices in setting up projects within QC Assist in defining standards for individual projects within QC, if necessary Assist in importing existing requirements for multiple projects into QC Assist in importing existing test cases for multiple projects into QC Provide guidance on best practices in using the Defect Tracking within QC Provide informal training and assistance in using Defect Tracking Provide guidance on best practices in using the Version control within QC Provide informal training and assistance in using Version Control Provide guidance on best practices in Library Management within QC Assist in creating Libraries within QC Provide guidance on best practices in Reporting and Analysis Provide informal training and assistance in the customization and creation of Reports Provide informal training and assistance in the customization and creation of a Dashboard Provide guidance on best practices on running automated vs. Manual tests Provide guidance on best practices using Manual Runner vs. Sprinter Provide guidance on best practices in creating QTP automated tests Provide informal training on creating QTP scripts Assist in creating QTP scripts Please send me your updated resume on mithlesh@inficaretech.com
