A network engineer is required by our client to administer day to day support covering a large geographically diverse network. The working day is 10am-6pm and may require travel between different sites across Scotland, but mainly in the central belt. Applicants must have a full clean driving licence, and their own vehicle. Our client requires applicants to have CCNA qualifications (CCENT, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCVP, CCNA Security, CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless, CCIP, CCIE or equivalent) and a solid working knowledge of the technologies and tools required to support diverse WAN and LAN infrastructures. Applicants must have experience of configuration management, system documentation, incident management using industry best practice methods and must have previously worked in a Data Centre environment. Working experience with Alcatel is also highly desirable. The candidate must show a willingness to take on responsibility and manage their own workload, and show evidence of a strong customer focus. Experience working with Checkpoint Administration Software/Omnivista Network Administration Software/ SNMPc Network Administration Software is also advantageous.
