Position Description: Sr. Solutions Architect/Principal Consultant who will serve in a lead role for the Information Management Practice. Must have technical depth and expertise in Data Architecture; Data Modeling & Master Data Management as it relates to data warehousing and operational functional domains. Must have a passing knowledge of all technologies relevant to BI, Data Integration (ETL), Master Data & DW. This role has 2 primary responsibilities: 1. A Sales support role (up to 40%) assisting in pre-sales activities such as; working with Sales to qualify opportunities, providing technical input into Sales activities, Presentations, writing RFP/RFI responses, responding to technical questions, etc. 2. As a senior level billable consultant, provide technical leadership to a prospective Client, in the capacity as a Data Architect, Senior Business Analyst, Senior Data Modeler, Master Data Specialist or key strategist to help them through business and IT transformations and develop application and data architecture solutions. In this role, the candidate will often serve as the management or technical lead on individual Client engagements which could range in scale from short-term Assessments to multi-year projects. Must Have Skill Set: Have a current technical background of 3+ years utilizing any of the common Data Architect / Data Modeling tools or experience utilizing any of the common Master Data tools. Have at least 5+ of proven track record of successful projects and should be able to utilize past contacts to help expand the Practice. 10+ years demonstrating progressively more responsibility and experience in the enterprise IT arena. 5+ years of full-time, end-to-end experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures for companies with $500 million to $20 billion or more in annual revenues. Preferred Skill Set: Preference is for a Canadian citizen but Permanent Resident will be considered for the right individual. Will have knowledge in one or more vertical markets. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in CPG, in B2B or B2C models, manufacturing and retail. Prior development and design experience with Data Integration (ETL) tools and/or Business Intelligence technologies. PMI or other Project Management certification. Strong technical skills and be able present to User Groups, write Web/Blog content, Whitepapers and other Sales & Marketing Preferred. Strong analytical capabilities to translate business needs to data and functional requirements. Ability to align strategic business initiatives to data architecture solutions. Conceptual, Logical & Physical modeling experience, or Master Data Analysis, Design& Implementation experience. Experience using various methodologies to validate and test data models, i.e., use cases data profiling, prototyping. Able to lead a team of Data Analysts and may be able to lead a larger BI, ETL or DW team Able to lead workshops & sessions with business and technical teams and capture & articulate outcomes, conclusions and recommendations. Provide leadership, advice & recommendations to Sales, Prospects & Clients. Write Proposals & SOW’s, and create cost, duration & staffing estimates BS in Computer related degree; MS (preferred) Certification in Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, Data Modeling or Master Data Professional Skill Set: Strong communication skills with experience relating to different levels within an organization Excellent written skills and demonstrated experience writing proposals, SOWs, articles Ability to work with Executives Strong presentation skills Solid planner and leader Excellent problem solver, able to find creative solutions
