Engineering Stores Leader/Person Nottingham Our client is a Global Leader in the FMCG industry. With sites and facilities across the Globe, their state-of-the-art facility in Nottingham, is set to achieve new levels of growth and productivity. It is a fast paced culture with on-going opportunities for career development and enhancement. As a result of business expansion, there is an immediate need for engineering Stores Leaders to assist on a temporary basis, with Engineering or Production bias, to manage and lead the stores function to meet KPI's for Quality, Cost and Customer Service. You will be responsible directly to the Engineering Manager, working closely with the Site Financial Controller. Role: As Stores Leader, you will be working closely with and influencing Engineering, Operations, Technical and Quality stakeholders. You will hold ultimate responsibility for the stock management system for engineering stores. You will maintain safety and COSHH assessments, monitor stock levels, working capital, use the 'maximo' management system, as well as monitor and evaluate plant reliability and capability to both identify and implement change management programmes. You will have a primary target for reducing cost savings by 5% year on year. In addition, you will advise, coach and set goals/targets for the maintenance team, as well as contractors/suppliers, setting up performance reviews and assessments. Requirements: Ideally having gained experience in engineering maintenance, planning or procurement, you will also have line management experience, ideally within an FMCG environment. In addition, you will ideally have Kardex or CMMS experience. Good IT skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate clearly, under the pressure of production and engineering demands. A natural self-starter and able to work on your own initiative, you will be flexible in your approach and a confident decision maker. This will suit anyone with an engineering background, theory or practical, who will help form asset registers, manage stock and parts lists to improve maintenance reliability and traceability. SAP experience is preferred but not essential.
