My Client is looking for a Active Travel & Health Advisor to join their team on a part time basis for 6 months (You will be required to work a total of 48 days over 6 months at an average of 8 days per month) Economic Case for Active Travel (AT)   Collating all robust and transferable evidence on the economic benefits of AT Agreeing the validity and appropriate use of this evidence with my clients specialists; and Documenting and presenting an enhanced economic case for investing in AT   Expert advice on AT as a public health intervention   Input on AT and public health to a variety of workstreams (for example, post holder may be asked to use experience in the field to suggest options for enhancing local cross-service collaboration on AT); and Engaging with key central and (as required) local stakeholders to present a business case for AT which is tailored to the goals of those stakeholders Essential Skills/Knowledge:   Comprehensive knowledge of national and relevant international research and evaluation of the health benefits of active travel   Excellent understanding of how central and local government appraise the value for money of transport and health interventions   Proven ability to develop the business case for active travel interventions   Desirable Skills/Knowledge:   Knowledge of how active travel can support delivery of wider desired outcomes outside of the health and transport spheres A PhD in health and/or transport policy This role is to commence on 10th September so you should be immediately available for interview.
