Position : Lead Java/ J2ee Developer Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : 6Months The Lead Developer will have experience developing portal based applications along with knowledge of solutions in a regulated environment. The Senior Software Engineer will develop, maintain and manage portal based solutions to JSR286/WSRP standards on the Oracle stack. This position is focused on Java portal/portlet development, but includes responsibilities and tasks in other, associated technical areas. Ideal candidate has an understanding of clinical laboratory and solutions supporting clinical laboratories as well as technical acumen and aptitude to lead and complete individual tasks involving developing portlets plus web services that may be required. Understanding of the diverse technical environment of clinical lab systems and their interaction with Quintile's award winning Infosario Portal will be a key responsibility. Has technical knowledge of system development. May have duties instructing, directing, and checking the work of other technical personnel and will have quality assurance review responsibilities. Responsibilities Contributes to the preparation of detailed specifications Program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation Serve as technical member of the product team Interacts with corporate and project team members to help develop timelines and deliverables Develops, configures, tests, and documents components in accordance with standards and validation procedures Performs peer review of work products such as code, designs, and test plans produced by other team members Provide input and review of system development and configuration work with regard to standards and validation procedures Provide architecture development and guidance to the team Performs other duties as directed Qualifications Knowledge of clinical laboratory, procedures/processes, and regulatory standards desirable Proficiency in Java/JEE required; experience in Oracle Web Center and ADF desirable Knowledge of clinical Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) desirable Proficiency in related, underlying technologies, including SQL, Oracle, XML, web services and other integration technologies and standards required Hardware/software/infrastructure setup and testing Possess a working knowledge in software development tools, practices, and lifecycle methodologies Possess good organizational and communication skills Experience with producing documentation in a regulatory-compliant environment Ability to handle multiple tasks Many Thanks, Rakesh 205-547-6889 rakesh@vajrasoft.com
