Sr Network Analyst

Direct client in St. Paul suburbs needs a Senior Cisco certified Network Analyst for a large WAN Services initiative. Job Duties: • Responsible for operations, support and implementation of a globally distributed data and voice network and the tools and systems used to build and monitor the network. Resolves operational issues, builds and modifies connectivity to new locations using enterprise standards and processes. • Engineers and implements IP voice, video and data solutions that provide excellent access, throughput, availability, security and cost-effectiveness, while maintaining simplicity and industry best practices. • Implementation of WAN, LAN, Internet data and voice connectivity services following enterprise standards and procedures • Orders, tracks and validates accurate service and product delivery from outside vendors • Works with team-lead/Manager to gain approvals for any financial expenditures • Creates, analyzes and summarizes reports on performance, service and capacity availability • Maintains accurate current state diagrams, documentation, and other data sources in a consistent and replicable manner. • Develops detailed implementation, test and roll-back procedures for planned network changes • Applies enterprise security policies and standards when performing all operational duties • Participates in 24x7 on-call support team rotation. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: * AS degree in computer science, networking or related IT field and/or over four years of equivalent IT experience * Over three years of direct experience administering network hardware and software preferably Cisco * Relevant minimum certification desired CCNA, CCNA-Security or CCNA-Voice or equivalent * Desired Certification level CCNP or CCSP * In-depth understanding of networking protocols and concepts * Demonstrated proficiency in common routing protocols i.e. EIGRP, BGP, OSPF * Strong understanding of DNS, authentication protocols, Firewall and security best practices. * Strong written and verbal communications skills * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments, track and communicate the status of assignments on a regular basis. Independently handle routine issues impacting assignment timelines.
