POSITION SUMMARY: Performs research, analysis, design, creation and implementation of business systems to meet current and future user requirements. Modifies and maintains existing systems to address changes in business processes. REQUIREMENTS: Technical Background: • 7 + Years of Software Development Experience in Java/J2EE • Detailed knowledge and practical applications of Java Design Patterns • Hands on and expected to implement solutions • Ability to present recommendation to both technical and non-technical teams Practical Experience with the J2EE Stack including: • Apache AXIS 2.0 (SOAP Web Service Engine) • Java API for XML-Based RPC (JAX-RPC) • Java Servlets & JavaServer Pages (JSP) • Enterprise JavaBeans Components (EJB) • Java Message Service (JMS) • Java Mail Service (JavaMail) • Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) • Java Data Base Connectivity API (JDBC) Practical Experience with the following Third Party API: • Extensive knowledge of the Struts framework • Extensive knowledge of Java Standard Tag Libraries (JSTL) • Familiar with build scripts (i.e. ANT) • Familiar with logging frameworks (i.e. commons logging or log4j) Application Servers: • Experience with IBM Websphere Application Server (WAS 6+) • Experience with Rational Application Developer (RAD6+) or Eclipse 3+ Operating Systems: • Familiar with the Unix/Linux Operating System • Familiar with the Windows XP Operating System Process Experience: • Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Knowledge of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) Certifications: • Preferred Java Certifications (Sun / IBM / Brainbrench) Plus: • Practical experience with JSF (Java Server Faces) • Practical experience with Portal Servers and Portlets • Practical experience Endeca, a search and guided navigation tool • Familiar with Vignette, an enterprise content management tool • Familiar with Informatica, an enterprise data integration tool • Familiar with Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS) U.S citizens, green card holders and those authorized to work in the U.S are encouraged to apply.
