CONTEXT A Bay Area innovator extending mobile services over broadband networks, is developing a portfolio of Emerging Technology Over The Top (OTT) Smartphone applications that help mobile operators stay ahead in the rapidly evolving communications market. POSITION SUMMARY Lead UI/UX creative position focusing on Android and iOS smartphone platforms. You will be able to grasp and communicate the business vision from a clear understanding of the general and mobile operator audience needs. Guru-level smartphone user experience design skills are required as you collaborate in an Agile, rapid development environment. The best candidate will have some experience and interest in the mobile telecommunications industry. ENGAGEMENT � This position has an in initial full-time engagement window of 4 - 6 weeks with the possibility of an extended engagement, or permanent hiring, depending on your experience and the company's schedule. The position is on site to start, with options down the line for telecommuting. RESPONSIBILITIES � Lead UI/UX front-end creative design for the company's OTT Smartphone applications � Work closely with dev teams within a rapid development environment to create information architecture storyboards, wireframes and user-flows that accommodate a range of goals in the most intuitive manner � Collaborate closely with dev teams to convert wireframes and early prototypes into cool/attractive, and most importantly, intuitive design solutions � Work closely with an Art Director for collaborative solutions REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS � Experience working with collaborative teams � Online portfolio showcasing excellent UI/UX work � 5+ years human interface design � 3+ years of smartphone mobile app design experience � Expert knowledge of graphic design principles applied to mobile apps � Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop � UI/UX design based on an understanding of current functional options and limitations for Android and iOS smartphone apps BENEFITS � Competitive compensation � Relaxed, comfortable and friendly work environment � Be part of the next wave in mobile communication apps If others consider you pretty much a guru in UI/UX design, please apply.
