This is a 3-month+ contract position in Raleigh, NC starting August 2012. This position is for the Data Architect role in the data management organization. The Data Architect will be expected to do the following: - Help design and architect an overall data distribution service along with designing and architecting specific data services. - Assess and plan architecture roadmaps for data quality, security, governance, and distribution. - Help create and manage data models, data dictionary, and other useful metadata. - Consult with multiple projects in the role of the data architect. Key competencies and experience include: Excellent understanding, knowledge, and experience with: Oracle Data modeling paradigms and methodologies. Data integration methods and technologies. Paradigms such as SOA, web-services, XML, etc. - You must have a minimum of 5-7 years experience. - Good understanding and appreciation for future technology trends such as cloud, mobile computing etc. - Good understanding and experience in Business Intelligence (BI) methods, technologies, and products. - Ability to influence stakeholders both with in business and IT. - Good communication, presentation, and writing skills. Candidates must be willing to work in the office 100% of the time.
