You can learn more about our solution at: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitalpublishingsuite / Responsibilities: • Contribute to the toolset vision for the configuration and automated deployment of our Digital Publishing Solution. Evaluate and recommend technologies that will be easily maintained and enhanced to get ahead of our rapidly growing development efforts. • Participate in the development of the Automation strategy for configuration management and software deployments of multi-tier web hosted applications and back end servers on large network infrastructures. Build in ability to measure utilization, costs and tear down unused infrastructure. • Define, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain Data Center automation infrastructure. • Start with standard configurations and provide flexible configurations over time. Allow developers to specify configuration and automatically generate and track resulting landscape definition. • Create repeatable processes and verifiably consistent deployment results that can be utilized in global datacenter. Review existing automation sequences. Port or develop new scripts/methods that optimize for reuse, integration with other tools and sustainability. • Work with AWS, VMware, Physical Hardware, and Network equipment • Utilize applications such as Cloud Formation, Virtual Machine Templates, Chef, Asset and Configuration Management software and standard processes and procedures to perform tasks. @ • Automate administration tasks through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools • Integrate the infrastructure automation solution with test automation and reporting systems. Ensure that systems are fully functional at instantiation and remain so after developers integrate changes. • Include automated notification system which alerts and involves team members who utilize systems or are needed to resolve problems. • Work with your peers as a subject matter expert on datacenter technologies, automation, virtualization and storage technologies • Standardize and document all installations Minimum Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field. Masters degree preferred • 8+ years related experience • Solid knowledge of data center operations including provisioning and maintaining of servers, networking, load balancing, and other infrastructures. • Experience with automated operating system provisioning, configuration management, application deployment and monitoring solutions running in AWS infrastructure. • Experience with AWS Cloud Formation and Chef • Working knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat or JBoss. o Experience in administration of Virtual Server farms using VMWare. o Familiarity with hosted application service provider environments, including remote administration of servers and devices. o Experience with J2EE environments • Past experience using scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Javascript • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a large cross-team environment. • Interested in building Devops culture and familiarity with Agile Methodologies is a plus Adobe's dynamic working environment is well known - including 11 years on FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For", and other, similar accolades.
