We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Insurance Industry Business Analyst for our international client . Client is open to candidates seeking either contract or fulltime positions. Candidates DO NOT need to live in the NY area - client is open to any candidates across the US but you must be open to at least 50% travel! Our client is seeking candidates to join their Professional Services Group. You will be responsible for performing moderately complex analyses of business goals, objectives and needs, and the general business environment to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. You will act as a liaison between technical personnel and non-technical personnel on and off shore. Job Responsibilities Gap Analysis Studies Plans, designs and recommends business processes to improve and support business activities. Analyzes and documents client's business requirements and processes and communicates these requirements by constructing Business Solution Documents, Attribute/Data Dictionaries, Product Specifications, and process models. Assists with product configuration activities throughout the SDLC. Creates test scenarios and develops test plans to be used in testing the configured system in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated in to the system design. Assists in analyzing testing results throughout the project. Provides input into developing and modifying the system solution to meet client needs and develops business specifications to support these modifications. Facilitates meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions. Participates in technical reviews and quality tollgates to verify 'intent of change' is carried out through the entire project. Assists in providing time estimates for project related tasks. (i.e. planning and scoping activities) Assists with Client System Training and Deployment activities. Other tasks as assigned by superior 50% Travel Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Extensive Property & Casualty Insurance domain experience Package software configuration experience ISO Commercial Lines Rate, Rules, and Forms domain experience Workers Compensation Rate, Rule, Form, and reporting domain experience Knowledge and experience with ACORD standard Any database, web or HTML experience would be preferred Ideally client would like someone on board by September timeframe.
