Developer to migrate .NET/SQLServer functionality to LAMP stack - SQL Server AJAX JavaScript LAMP Scripts & Utilities
Who we are: A music industry start-up focused on helping independent artists gain industry credit in the US Job Description: The developer hired for this project will be involved in delivering the final cutover steps in order to transition smoothly from the legacy site (written in ASP.NET) / SQL Server, to the new site which is driven by a LAMP stack. The new platform has already been established and is currently undergoing a UI makeover using WordPress technologies. The new site will continue to utilize Authorize.NET for e-commerce transactions and is currently undergoing upgrades to augment its membership management and shopping cart functionality. However, before the legacy site can be decommissioned, its existing data will have to be migrated to the new site and all basic reporting functionalities will need to be reestablished on the new site to ensure business continuity. The amount of data and functionality existing in the legacy system is not very large or complex at this time; however, proper archiving, cleanup, and careful migration of all historical customer data will need to be carried out to ensure the least amount of disruption to the current reporting workflow. A basic "CRUD-interface" will be needed to support weekly reporting functions undertaken by IHM staff. Skills Required: Therefore, the ideal candidate is a well-rounded web application developer having extensive experience in site migrations and both Microsoft and LAMP stacks in context of an e-commerce/membership-driven and reporting business model.
