Data Analyst Location: Simi Valley, CA Duration: 1 year Description: Data Extraction & Analysis: - Analyze data sources and design queries to extract data for operational reporting utilizing SQL and MS Access. - Create technical documentation on data models and query logic. Operational Reporting & Analysis: - Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting and work queues for line of business. - Provide trend and variance analysis and identify causes for shifts in metrics. Workflow Analysis: - Understand business processes and relate operational metric results to business workflow. - Be able to communicate data analysis and impact to workflow to business managers. Required Skills: - Candidate must have strong experience in building queries (in Microsoft SQL or Access) using system tables and experience using the data to build out reports. - Experience in running routine reports that candidate built and create new ones as well. - Have strong communication skills to be able to work with the client and understand what they are looking for and be able to comprehend and make suggestions on the report. All job seekers submitted must meet or exceed the following minimum requirements: * 3 to 5 years experience. - Extraction of Data SQL/Access - able to write queries (3 * 5 years experience) - resumes must reflect experience with data extraction. - Have strong experience building queries using system tables. - Must have experience building reports from data. - Experience running routine reports from those built and create new ones. - Strong communication and organization skills. - Ability to interpret client*s needs and make recommendations. - Proficient in MS SQL, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. - SQL Query Analyzer. - Ability to query relational databases. - Strong analysis and reporting (required).
