One of TEKsystems clients is seeking a Senior J2EE developer for a 6 month contract to start in the Toronto area. The candidate will be doing web based java enterprise development using JMS, ESB, XML, SOAP, WSDL, Eclipse, Glassfish, and Tapestry. The overall project goal is to move towards a more self serve environment and redefine how the company is engaging with stakeholders and customers. The overall methodology is Agile and a candidate with a great personality and high level of initiative would be the ideal fit for this client. Required Experience - Minimum 5 years experience in the IT industry working with proven methodologies: - Minimum 5 years experience with Java, specifically Java Enterprise Edition. (JEE) - Minimum 3 years experience with Java based Web Development - Minimum 3 years experience with Eclipse, Glassfish Skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Work extremely well in a team environment. - Java 1.5, JavaScript (JQuery/Prototype), HTML, CSS, XML - Tapestry or Spring Framework - JEE 5 - EJB, JAXB, JPA, JMS, Web Services(SOAP) - Eclipse, Subversion, Continuous Integration, Checkstyle, JUnit, Log4j - MS SQL Server, DB2 - UML and process modelling skills, technical design. - Multi-tier architecture. - Development: JEE certified development environment.
