Our client, a registered social landlord, are looking for a Night Social Care Worker, to assist the manager of the home in promoting a caring environment conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of elderly residents. Key responsibilities will include: � Responsibility for ensuring that agreed care plans are actioned to the required standard, are regularly monitored, reviewed, and updated in line with CSCI requirements, and that the needs of residents� are communicate effectively through the proper channels and maintain records. � Assist residents in all aspects of daily living and activity at the home and in particular, their needs at night when on duty ensuring residents� are made comfortable and that a clean and safe environment is maintained. � Carry out evening activities as required with residents� welcoming visitors to the home and keeping the Night Care Officer informed of any relevant information gained during visits e.g. hospital appointments, escorting out of home, planned outings by relatives. Record in events sheets and share information with day duty officers as required. The successful candidate will have: � Experience working with the elderly in a residential setting. � Knowledge of the Health and Safety Regulations and Equal Opportunities � Knowledge of the needs of elderly people � Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing � Ability to deal with incontinence and personal care � Ability to work without direct supervision � Ability to work unsocial hours � Must be caring, perceptive, fair but firm. � Commitment to valuing residents and improving their quality of life � Post is subject to an enhanced disclosure with the Criminal Records Bureau Following completion of this contract there may be opportunities for permanent employment.
