The objective of this project is to build an app for both the iPad and iPhone that allows a user to type in a word of their choice and then displays an image associated with that specific word choice. The steps of the user experience are as follows: 1) User shown text entry box with brief instructions/prompt. 2) User enters word of their choice. 3) Word is matched to word list in accompanying database. The database is a simple list of words and associated numbers. For each word, there is an associated number between 1 and 12. There are 5,000 words in the test database and there will be 100,000 words in the final database. 4) Tha app uses the number associated with the word to display 1 of 12 images. For example, if the number associated with the word is 7, then it displays image 7. This initial app will form the basis of a series of other apps and futher projects.
