Security Vetting Administrator - London, SW1V - To start ASAP on a 6 week temporary contact with possibility of being extended for the right candidate. Hourly rate will be up to £13.50 per hour (Depending on experience & tax type). This is a full time position Monday - Friday with flexible hours from 8.30am / 9am - 4.30pm / 5pm. A leading provider of work place fit out and technology solutions to major organisations throughout the UK. Fit out or refurbishment of projects up to £50million+. They are seeking an experienced Security Vetting Administrator to join their team in London, SW1V. Reporting to the Vetting Team Leader you will provide an essential and comprehensive administration service for two projects. Your responsibilities will be to provide first class support dealing with the client specific vetting and screening requirements whilst applying and working within the guidelines of the relevant authorities that we deal with. Responsibilities Participate in the end to end clearance application process for both major projects, and individual clearance applications. Chase delayed applications, responses and references etc for all clearance cases, escalating issues to your line manager as required. Ensure accuracy of documentation received from employees, following up on any omissions before forwarding paperwork to other contracting authorities. Carry out administration of security clearance transfer process. Assist in the administration of the security clearance renewal process. Administer the 'leavers' process. Assist in the administration of 'Change to Personal Circumstances' applications. Notify external authorities of staff clearance details, as required. Assist in the administration of foreign visits procedure. Deal with CRB checks i.e. request, advice, renewal etc. Log incoming post. Involvement in ad hoc projects as required. Carry out other administration tasks as required. Skills and Experience Required Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access etc). Previous experience of working in an administration environment. Able to work accurately and efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent attention to detail. Able to work within bounds of confidentiality and discretion. A professional manner and the ability to develop strong working relationships. Self motivated and able to use own initiative and priorities workload. Ability to adapt to meeting a changing environment.
